10/18/2007 Help Us, O Lord!Well, I may as well get this off my chest...my crush on Cranky Op is not helping me at all. It's so depressing. Just the other day he told me in open channel that if he was a polygamist, I'd be his second wife. On the other hand I know he's only having fun, but really, is that appropiate for a Christian (and a teacher in his church) to even joke about??? Sometimes I want to tell him my feelings in a private message, as I know he doesn't have a clue how I feel about him, and how his words affect me. But then again, he doesn't need to know my feelings. Most Christians will tell me "Give it over to God" as if it's easy. Well, it's not. It preys on your mind, and and your emotions. I blog about this because i know words affect people...and not always are they harmless. I needed to get this off my chest. I need to warn people to be careful, and not act upon their feelings. And to be afraid to talk candidly about things when talking to God in prayer. Mat5:28- "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." (NIV) It goes to us women as well. One more verse that comes to mind: Exo20:17- "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor." (NIV) Something for me to think about, and for all of us to think about, eh?
Father, I come before You in earnest prayer. I ask that you help me, and for all of us who have come in the same situation I have encountered. I pray that we will be faithful to our spouses, even though we may not always get along. Forgive, O God, for any impure thoughts we've harbored. Help us, Lord, to resist all temptation, and to focus on You. Thank You Lord, for Your grace and mercy. In Yeshua's Name, Amen. 10/6/2007 A Boring RantSo, what's the use of keeping a blog when I don't update it, eh? So, here I go ranting again.
I guess part of the blame is my addiction to #christiandebate. I'm constantly on that channel, lol. Then there's Cranky Op, whom I think of daily. ARGH! In all seriousness, I like IRC. I can be myself, and not have to worry about looks, and what I have. People really care about your opinions, and not the scars on your face or the one eye. I really enjoy it a lot.
On the home front, nothing much has changed. Ah, the exciting life of a housewife, eh? |
