3/13/2008 Ramblings Of A HousewifeSo I'm here again...feeling a whole lot lighter. This past month I have been gutting out my apartment, and Hubby made three or four trips to the nearby salvation army store to get rid of some stuff. (Junk from yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaars of being a pack rat!!!) Not only that, I also have a huge box (about the equivalent of 2 garbage bags) full of papers only...which we will be having fun burning at a bonfire this weekend, weather permitting.
Over the past month, I been talking more and more to MuzOp...he's a wealth of info regarding Islam's beliefs. He gave me 2 more comprehensive websites: http://www.answering-islam.org/ and http://www.inthenameofallah.org/ ...both real eye-openers. the inthenameofallah site even has the quran in it with commentary, though I do admit to reading the quran without any commentary included online. I only hope he stays in #christiandebate for a long time...he's extremely intelligent and valuable when debating with our Muslim users. And here I am, a Troll Cop, praying for the salvation of our atheist/muslim/jehovah's witness/mormon/jewish users. But debating is an art, and I am learning! :)
Hubby has been talking about going into full-time ministry ever since I met him about eight and a half years ago. The reason why i can say this online is because he tells everyone that he's been called to full-time ministry. Now, me, one the other hand, I'm taking this very seriously...so many questions going on in my mind. Yet I know that G-d will open doors that no man can shut. All of us are disabled but nothing is impossible with G-d. I see a busy life, full of huge responsiblity...and accountability as well. I know my husband has bad nerves, I only hope and pray G-d will heal him and sustain him...which I know He provides for His children. I must admit this is very intimidating for me, to be a pastor's wife...
So my daughter was supposed to go for eye surgery yesterday...but she has the coup. Poor thing is coughing that awful barking-seal kind of cough, and running a fever. The hospital gave her a steroid then sent here home to let it ride out. She was supposed to go in for an examination under anaestheisa (EUA) and to have the silicone oil out of her eyes and have it replaced with clear fluid to make her vision better. The anaesthia dept said they couldn't put her to sleep or it'll make the coup much worse. But this is the second cancellation...the first time, they had the surgery time at 2pm...and here my daughter was, sneaking food out of the fridge! Wow, a mom's gotta have ten eyes for such a clever little girl! Ah, well, such is life, I suppose. |
