8/27/2007 God, Keep us on the Straight and Narrow! I've been spening more and more time on IRC. But I do need to spill my guts on some Christians. For starters, there's this issue with the famous Cranky OP. Just yesterday afternoon a regular user announced his farewell to #christiandebate, and was going over to another debate channel...because of a channel op! Now, I know I've had fellow users and even some OPs confide in me how they're bothered with Cranky OP...but when I followed the fellow user yesterday into the other channel to try and get him back to #cd many ppl in that channel told me the same thing the user announced in #cd! When I looked at the list of names, I found a whole list of names I recognize from our channel. I was shocked. I love #christiandebate, and I love the people in it, I'm on friendly terms with the founder, and I really do like Cranky OP...even though I had a rough start with getting along with him in the first place. Last night really bothered me, though. I nearly was in tears because I know the man is abrasive. If only he wasn't.......but worse still, I care for him...
Another thing I ran into...conspiracy theory. It's when you think the worse kind of thing. For example, it was Dubya that crashed those planes, not Muslims. Or it was the US gov't that hired 2 men to crash down the Minnisota bridge, not structural damage. Or that King Abdullah is the Antichrist guy. Kinda scary, ain't it? www.revlu.com/zc and http://pages.prodigy.net/carolujoy/zc.htm is only one such example...and I met the owner online. Well, to be perfectly honest, i disagree with those theories. It's like trying to read into situations things that aren't really there. May we keep looking to our Messiah Yeshua and not on the doctrines that pop up everywhere! 8/20/2007 IRC and Hurricane Dean Oh, how busy life can get. Nah, I won't bore you with any boring old details. I have been spending a lot of times on Dalnet, and am helping build a new channel called #scripture. I'm still haunting #christiandebate, and not going to eliyah.com anymore. Well, not really. I go back on Shabbat service nights, but I kinda don't have much in common with those guys.
My heart goes out to those in Mexico...those who will be hit by Hurricane Dean...a massive Category Five hurricane. Someone even said it'll blow right across Mexico and into the Pacific Ocean as a tropical storm. God, please protect these people in the Name of Your Son, Yeshua, Amen |
